“As we continue to unite with our university’s mission to train up ‘Christian leaders to change the world,’ we are honored to celebrate the continued growth and excellence of our Regent Athletics department,” said Dr. Joseph Umidi, executive vice president for Student Life. “It is my prayer that our athletic programming, in a similar way, will add yet another layer of unity to our campus. Launching this new website for players and fans to connect is a large part of that.”

Regent Athletics was founded in August 2017 with the launch of the university’s team name, the “91�� Royals.” Club teams featuring students from Regent’s on-campus community have grown into 10 different teams and counting, including:

-Men’s and Women’s Cross Country

-Men’s and Women’s Soccer

-Men’s and Women’s Track & Field

-Men’s and Women’s Basketball

-Women’s Volleyball

-Co-ed Cheerleading

Each of the teams compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) division, with several student athletes qualifying for nationals in the team’s first year.
